Artsakh ombudsman: ‘The release of Armenian prisoners is impossible without the participation of the international community’

To successfully release social entrepreneur Ruben Vardanyan and other Artsakh officials from Azerbaijani captivity, it is necessary that the international community put political pressure on Baku, stated the Artsakh Commissioner for Human Rights Gegham Stepanyan.

“Without concrete political pressure on Azerbaijan from the United States together with the international community, it is impossible to ensure the immediate release of these people in accordance with international law. Unfortunately, judicial actions and other legal measures are ineffectual in this matter,” Stepanyan said.
