‘Ruben Vardanyan is a philanthropist of Russia, Armenia and the world’

In its overview article dedicated to the Day of the Patron and Benefactor, the Miloserdie portal writes about five legendary benefactors of the past and present. Ruben Vardanyan, who has been developing social entrepreneurship in Russia and Armenia since the mid-1990s, is one of them. The list of the philanthropist’s achievements includes the professionalization of charity in Russia, creation of a school for talented children in Dilijan and establishment of the Aurora International Humanitarian Award.

“In April 2024, Vardanyan was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, which was a recognition of his outstanding contribution to charity,” the authors of the article write.
