Second stage of Support for Artsakh Craftsmen program launched
The “We Are Our Mountains” agency has launched the next stage of the Sup-port for Artsakh Craftsmen project. The initiative helps those forcibly dis-placed from Artsakh to learn crafts or improve their skills in certain specialties. The program provides the current craftsmen with the necessary tools and equipment.
Previously, 80 beneficiaries, who met the program criteria, were selected from almost 120 residents of Artsakh that applied for participation. All of them will receive the equipment needed for work, while almost 30 beneficiaries will take part in training courses. Among the program participants are confectioners, beauty professionals, and repairmen.
“Co-founder of our agency, Ruben Vardanyan, has always considered it im-portant to implement programs that create the environment and opportunity for people to prove themselves, work, and create. This program doesn’t just give one-time assistance, but rather provides an opportunity for people to work and take care of their families, which is very important to our Artsakh compatriots now,” says Grigory Martirosyan, director of the “We Are Our Mountains” agency.
