Ruben Vardanyan’s future discussed by leading Russian political scientists

Ruben Vardanyan’s detention and subsequent arrest triggered a public outcry in Russia. Not only human rights activists but also leading political scientists discuss the social entrepreneur’s future.

Journalist and publicist Sergey Mardan calls Vardanyan a world-renowned pa-tron of arts and philanthropist. He believes the speculations around Vardan-yan’s choice to return to Artsakh are merely an attempt to defame him. Alexey Mukhin, General Director of the Center for Political Information, agrees with Mardan: “Vardanyan should return to his family. He should return to his char-itable and peaceful projects that are strengthening relations between the coun-tries.”
