The Dilijan Community Center told which projects of Ruben Vardanian brought the city worldwide fame.

According to the former long-term chairman of the local city executive committee, Nadezhda Chepel, she dreamed back in the 1970s that Dilijan would be known far beyond the borders of Armenia. Thanks to Ruben Vardanian, this dream has come true.

Ruben Vardanian and his wife Veronika Zonabend founded the Dilijan International School UWC and Dilijan Community Center, and later opened several more educational institutions in the city. As a result, it was included in the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities. Today, students from more than 120 countries consider Dilijan their second home.

The UWC Dilijan International School has also glorified the city in the context of architecture. The state-of-the-art campus was immediately included in the list of the country’s main attractions and brought Armenia several prestigious awards.
