On this day, July 28, 2023, work began on the restoration of the monastery of St. Hakob in Artsakh.

At the suggestion of the abbot of Ter Hovhannes monastery and with the support of Ruben Vardanian, residents of different districts of Artsakh began to restore the temple.

Several generations of Artsakh people rallied under the conditions of the blockade for the common goal of preserving the Armenian faith and identity. They didn’t have food, basic medicines in first-aid kits, or even water, but they were coming to build an Armenian church.

Ruben Vardanian said:

“War, blockade, hardships – we will overcome all this together, helping each other and having one common goal”.

Let his words become a common motto. Only by uniting do we preserve, create and win.
