Vahan Zanoyan calls accusation of Ruben Vardanyan theatrical perfor-mance

In an interview to Aravot Daily, Armenian businessman, writer and poet Va-han Zanoyan states that he sees no just reasons for the arrest of Ruben Vardanyan and other Artsakh residents.

In his opinion, these people were legitimately elected officials at the time when Azerbaijan was negotiating the status of Artsakh. Back then, the republic was indirectly recognized by the state, so the current arrests have “a weak legal ba-sis.”
