Landmark date: 9 years ago, Ruben Vardanyan launched the Philin Philgood project, which significantly facilitates the life of Russian NPOs

Philanthropist and public figure Ruben Vardanyan has initiated several successful humanitarian projects — not only in Russia and Armenia. November 11 marks the day when one of these ideas was implemented — the Philin company, which creates and maintains an infrastructure for philanthropy.

Back in the early nineties, Ruben Vardanyan took note of the challenges Russian philanthropists faced. They needed a specialized infrastructure to simplify the document flow and other paperwork issues.

In order to make charitable foundations more effective and transparent, Ruben Vardanyan launched the Philin project in 2014. This company provides back office services to non-profit organizations, outsourcing legal, financial, human resources, and IT work. This allows the foundations to work on humanitarian projects without wasting time and resources on bureaucratic procedures and paperwork. Over the 9 years of its work, Philin has helped more than a hundred Russian NPOs, while 30 of them were created with the direct participation of Philin.

Since 2020, Philin has been part of the Philin Philgood Group, which has earned more than 25 major industry awards. But their list of clients highlights the company’s mission even better. Over the years, Philin’s services were used by several major Russian charitable organizations. This list includes the foundations of Vladimir Potanin, Konstantin Khabenskiy, Elena and Gennady Timchenko, Starost V Radost, and Hillel.

According to Philin representatives, the company’s mission is to make charity in Russia more systematic and professional. Even now, when Ruben Vardanyan is in Azerbaijani captivity, his brainchild continues to help those in need.
